Manyara Activities Unit Manager
Location: Manyara Unit – Mto wa Mbu, Tanzania
Reports To: Activity Manager

Duty Station
- Based in Mto wa Mbu (no accommodation provided)
- Regular travel to Arusha required
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Oversight
- Ensure all activities meet company standards
- Oversee daily operations of the activities department
- Support development of new routes, products, and experiences
2. Financial & Administrative Management
- Ensure accurate recording of income and expenses
- Collaborate with Accounts team on:
- Budgets
- Income statements
- Reconciliations
- Maintain proper documentation and digital archiving systems
- Utilize Excel and other digital tools effectively
3. Equipment Management
- Conduct regular stocktaking and quality control checks
- Identify damages and ensure proper maintenance
- Coordinate repairs, including:
- Budgeting
- Working with technicians (fundis)
- Quality assurance
- Be available to handle urgent operational issues when required
4. Guide Supervision & Quality Control
- Ensure discipline and high performance among guides
- Monitor:
- Punctuality
- Uniform compliance
- Professional conduct
- Maintain accountability and team standards
Qualifications & Competencies
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Excel
- Email systems
- Document management tools
- Financial literacy and ability to work with Accounts teams
- Proven management experience with high integrity
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent command of:
- English
- Swahili
- Preferred age range: 25–35 years
- Willingness to be based in Mto wa Mbu
