Job Purpose:
The role is accountable for the optimal performance, reliability, and security of all ICT systems and services. Providing first level expert support, driving system optimization and automation initiatives, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting and analysis of service delivery metrics.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform continuous systems optimization and automation to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Develop, automate, and visualize service delivery reports for management insights and decision-making.
  • Deliver 2nd level ICT service delivery support across all operational platforms.
  • Monitor and support all NMB systems and service channels 24/7, including Branches, ATMs, Wakala, and NMB Mkononi.
  • Create, follow up, and manage SLA compliance and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure prompt incident resolution and effective escalation handling.
  • Implement proactive monitoring and alerting to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
  • Ensure cybersecurity best practices are applied across all system operations and automation scripts.
  • End-to-end vulnerability management lifecycle and effective remediation across all NOC-managed application and DB servers.
  • Support DevOps processes, including deployment automation, infrastructure monitoring, and log analysis.
  • Participate in system audits, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • First level support for all self-service channels and services ensure proper escalation to second level support.
  • Maintain and optimize NOC infrastructure licenses make sure that all business-critical services are monitored.
  • Manage all incidents and problems logged into NOC regarding network, self-service, onboarding power, and cooling utilities from branches & HQ ensuring SLA(s) and customer expectation are met.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong understanding of service management standards, operating systems, networks, databases, and middleware.
  • Hands-on knowledge of ITSM and Monitoring tools,
  • Proficient in DevOps tools and infrastructure automation processes.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in 24/7 operational environments.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Programming, Linux systems, databases and scripting (Java, PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Python, Bash).
  • Good understanding of ITIL practices and SLA management.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as ITIL 4, CCNA, or related will be an added advantage.
  • 2 years of experience in System Administration, ICT Service Delivery, and DevOps,
