Role Purpose
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of brewing processes, while maintaining product quality and supporting continuous improvement.
The role involves operating key brewing systems, conducting quality checks, performing maintenance tasks, and coaching team members to deliver consistent, high-quality products at optimal cost.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plant & Process Operations
- Operate and monitor:
- Brew house plant and processes
- Fermentation systems
- Filtration processes
- Optimize plant and process performance
- Perform housekeeping tasks in line with 5S principles
- Identify and correct unsafe work practices
- Support development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
2. Quality Control & Analysis
- Conduct required quality checks and analyses
- Record results accurately in relevant systems
- Identify and resolve quality issues using:
- Quick fix routines
- Structured problem-solving techniques
- Escalate unresolved issues to the Team Leader
3. Communication & Reporting
- Participate actively in:
- Team meetings
- Goal review sessions
- Maintain accurate records using:
- Checklists
- Shift logbooks
- Ensure effective handover between shifts
- Communicate issues related to:
- Plant performance
- Quality
- Maintenance
4. Problem Solving
- Respond quickly to process disruptions
- Apply problem-solving methods such as:
- 5 Whys (5Y)
- Quick fix routines
- Maintain process control and stability
5. Teamwork & Development
- Support skill development within the team
- Share knowledge and coach fellow technicians
- Demonstrate:
- Initiative and energy
- Strong teamwork and collaboration
- Continuous improvement mindset
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Food Science
- Or related field
Skills & Competencies
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work shifts
- Analytical and logical thinking
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach

- This role requires flexibility to work in a shift-based production environment
