CAREER OPPORTUNITY: POLYTRA TANZANIA (FRACHT GROUP)

Polytra Tanzania is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to grow within the Fracht Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Invoicing: Assist in validating and processing invoices in a timely and accurate manner.

• Accounting Support: Support the posting of purchase and sales transactions in Odoo.

• Reconciliations: Assist in the preparation of bank and petty cash reconciliations, as well as supplier and customer account reconciliations (Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable).

• Tax & Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of VAT, withholding tax, and other statutory obligations.

• Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and the financial closing process.

• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation and an organized filing system for financial records.

• Audit Support: Provide assistance during internal and external audits.

• Cost Control: Ensure compliance with company policies and assist in monitoring expenses.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: Fresh graduate or up to one (1) year of relevant experience.

• Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Odoo is an added advantage.

• Core Competencies: Basic understanding of accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow.
