1. Monitoring, Evaluation & Verification Officer

Key Requirements

  • Monitor tree planting activities to ensure high survival rates (target: 85%+)
  • Collect, analyse, and manage field data to track restoration progress
  • Maintain accurate data systems, including GIS mapping and reporting tools
  • Conduct regular site visits to verify data and monitor project performance
  • Produce clear progress reports and support programme evaluations
  • Capture insights, lessons learned, and improve restoration strategies
  • Support baseline studies and impact reporting (environmental & social)
  • Train field teams on data collection and strengthen M&E practices
  • Support decision-making through data-driven insights and analysis

2. Tree Production Officer

Key Requirements

  • Oversee daily nursery operations and improve efficiency
  • Supervise and train Tree Production Technicians (TPTs)
  • Ensure quality control of all planting materials before field dispatch
  • Manage production of healthy seedlings, seeds, and propagules
  • Plan nursery activities based on weather and seasonal cycles
  • Maintain species diversity (indigenous trees and mangroves)
  • Monitor nursery processes (watering, soil, pruning, propagation)
  • Track nursery stock, data, and weekly reporting
  • Ensure availability of supplies and proper maintenance of nursery facilities

3. Site Forester

Key Requirements

  • Lead and oversee daily operations of planting, nursery, and propagule collection teams
  • Coordinate team activities to meet daily targets and ensure efficiency on site
  • Act as the key liaison between EarthLungs and government stakeholders
  • Support the establishment and management of large-scale mangrove nurseries
  • Guide species selection, propagation timelines, and planting based on coastal seasons
  • Monitor and troubleshoot mangrove growth, survival, and nursery performance
  • Oversee propagule collection, site scouting, and planting schedules
  • Track and report daily planting data, including species, numbers, and field activities
  • Ensure proper transportation, coordination, and security of mangrove sites
