🎯 Job Purpose
You’ll supervise all flight-handling operations (check-in, boarding, transfers, etc.) to ensure:
- High customer service standards
- On-time flight departures
- Smooth handling of disruptions (delays, denied boarding, etc.)
You’ll also step in for senior roles when needed.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
🛫 Operations & Coordination
- Coordinate with Ground Handling Agents (GHA) and airport departments
- Ensure on-time flight performance and departures
- Monitor boarding progress and flight closure timelines
⚙️ Team & Resource Management
- Supervise Customer Service Agents
- Allocate duties efficiently to maximize manpower use
🔄 Flight & Ground Handling Oversight
- Coordinate with ramp teams, catering, fuel, cargo, maintenance, and crew
- Review aircraft allocation and operational updates
🚨 Disruption Management
- Handle:
- Flight delays
- Missed connections
- Denied boarding
- Ensure passengers receive proper care and support
📊 General Duties
- Support the Airport Services Duty Officer
- Perform additional operational tasks as assigned
🎓 Qualifications & Requirements
📚 Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
🧠 Experience
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in airport/airline operations
💻 Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- Passenger services (Altea)
- Baggage systems (WorldTracer)
- Ground operations (GSM/GOM)
- Dangerous Goods Regulations
- Weight & Balance
- Amadeus Reservations & Ticketing
🌍 Other Requirements
- Fluent in English (written & spoken)
- High computer literacy
- Must have legal right to work in Tanzania
