The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) invites qualified and experienced legal professionals to apply for the position of Practicing Advocate (Legal Officer) at the UDSM Legal Aid Clinic.
The Legal Aid Clinic, operating under the University of Dar es Salaam School of Law, provides vital services including legal advice, representation, preparation of legal documents, and legal education to the community.
📋 Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal aid services and representation to project beneficiaries.
- Support legal awareness and community outreach programs.
- Participate in documentation, reporting, and follow-up of legal aid cases.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
🎓 Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M) from a recognized and accredited higher learning institution.
- Must be a registered practicing advocate in good standing with relevant legal bodies.
💼 Work Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of active legal practice.
- Demonstrated commitment to access to justice and human rights advocacy.
🕒 Terms of Service
- Contract Duration: Six (6) Months
