Job Opportunity: Interior Architect / Designer

CNS Group is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Architect / Designer to support a furniture retail business in Dar es Salaam. The role involves designing interior spaces, advising clients on furniture selection, and creating functional layouts that align with customer needs.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate should have a strong design sense and the ability to combine architecture with interior styling to translate client needs into practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design interior layouts and space concepts based on client requirements.

• Advise clients on furniture selection, materials, colors, and finishes.

• Develop design concepts, mood boards, and presentations.

• Conduct site visits, measurements, and space assessments.

• Collaborate with sales teams to enhance customer experience and drive sales.

• Assist in showroom layout and visual merchandising.

• Prepare design proposals, drawings, and quotations.

• Ensure functionality, aesthetics, and practicality in all designs.

• Stay updated with interior design trends and furniture innovations.

• Maintain strong client relationships and provide after-sales support.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum 1–4 years of experience in interior design or furniture-related projects.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar.

• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of space planning, furniture, and interior styling.

• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, client-facing skills, and strong organizational abilities.

• Mindset: Customer-focused with basic sales awareness and high attention to detail.
