Role Overview
AKES,T is seeking a proactive and highly organized Sports Facility Manager to oversee:
- Operation
- Maintenance
- Safety
- Optimal use of sports facilities and equipment
This role is essential in ensuring high-quality sports delivery for training, competitions, and school-wide activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations, maintenance, cleanliness, and security of sports facilities
- Manage and maintain sports equipment, ensuring safety and readiness
- Conduct:
- Facility inspections
- Inventory checks
- Stock-taking
- Maintain records and report to:
- Athletic Director
- Head of School
- Prepare facilities for:
- Training sessions
- Competitions
- Events (field marking, setup, seating)
- Coordinate facility bookings and scheduling
- Collaborate with:
- Sports department
- Event organisers
- External partners
- Supervise:
- Facility usage
- Staff rotas
- Enforce health, safety, and risk management procedures
- Support extracurricular sports activities (including flexible hours)
- Contribute to budget planning for maintenance and equipment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Facilities Management
- Sports Management
- or related field (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Health & safety regulations
- Risk management practices
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends
Experience & Skills
- Experience managing:
- Sports facilities
- Equipment or similar environments
