Position: Brewery Process Operator (Brewing & Filtration Technician)

Job Purpose
To safely operate assigned brewing processes within the brewery (including wort cooling, fermentation, filtration, and yeast management), while ensuring product quality, process efficiency, maintenance execution, and continuous improvement. The role also includes coaching team members to achieve consistent product quality at optimal cost.
Key Responsibilities
Plant & Process Operations
- Operate brewing house, fermentation, and filtration systems
- Optimize plant and process performance where possible
- Perform housekeeping duties using 5S principles
- Identify and correct unsafe work practices
- Support development of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Quality Control & Analysis
- Perform quality checks and record results in systems
- Identify and resolve quality issues using problem-solving tools
- Escalate unresolved issues to team leaders
Communication & Coordination
- Participate in team meetings and performance reviews
- Use logbooks and checklists to document issues and improvements
- Ensure effective shift handover communication
- Communicate plant, quality, and maintenance issues clearly
Problem Solving & Improvement
- Respond quickly to process disruptions
- Apply root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 5 Whys)
- Implement quick fixes and corrective actions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Teamwork & Development
- Support and train other team members
- Demonstrate teamwork, initiative, and problem-solving ability
- Contribute to a high-performance team culture
- Drive continuous improvement and excellence
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Food Science
Skills & Competencies
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work shifts
- Analytical and logical thinking
- Teamwork and initiative
