Maendeleo Bank PLC (MBP) is a Tanzanian financial institution established in 2013 through an initiative of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ELCT), Eastern and Coastal Diocese. Headquartered in Dar es Salaam, the bank was incorporated in 2011 and historically operated as a regional bank before transitioning to a fully licensed commercial bank in 2025. MBP became the first bank in Tanzania to be listed on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) during its inaugural year of operation, reflecting its commitment to transparency and public participation.
The bank’s primary mission is to promote financial inclusion by providing innovative and affordable services to retail customers, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and religious institutions. Its product range includes diverse deposit accounts, such as student and business savings, alongside specialized credit facilities like agribusiness loans, poultry financing, and group loans. Currently, MBP maintains a physical presence through six branches—five in Dar es Salaam and one in Arusha—complemented by a vast digital network of over 2,100 agents and 280 Umoja ATMs nationwide.

CORPORATE AFFAIRS AND MARKETING OFFICER
Qualification
-
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Postgraduate or professional certification (e.g., CIM, Digital Marketing, PR/Media Relations) is an added advantage.

3–5 years of experience in a communications or marketing role within the banking or financial services sector.

Proficiency in tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, social media analytics, and Google Workspace.
