Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Assist in carrying out maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of automotive equipment and ground support vehicles under the guidance of senior technicians and supervisors.
  • Support the Fleet Department in performing preventive and corrective maintenance activities on engines, hydraulic systems, braking systems, transmission systems, and vehicle electrical systems.
  • Operate workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and lifting devices safely and in accordance with approved procedures and instructions.
  • Read and apply technical manuals, workshop documentation, and maintenance instructions to support day-to-day engineering activities.
  • Ensure compliance with Swissport Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), QHSE requirements, safety regulations, and risk control measures at all times.
  • Participate in Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), safety briefings, and other operational improvement initiatives as directed by the Head of Fleet or supervisors.
  • Promptly report equipment defects, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and operational incidents to supervisors.
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately and perform assigned duties professionally within a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Fleet Department or Management.

Education and experience

Applicants should meet the following qualifications and experience requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Automotive Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5.
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of field attachment, internship, or practical work experience in a relevant automotive engineering environment.
