Job Summary

The Assistant Relationship Manager will support the Relationship Manager in:

  • Achieving revenue and balance sheet targets
  • Managing client relationships
  • Supporting onboarding and credit processes
  • Driving liabilities and income growth
  • Improving service delivery and client experience

The role also requires active use of:

  • Salesforce pipeline management
  • Client engagement tools
  • Risk and compliance processes

Key Responsibilities

Company Responsibilities (60%)

Digital Channel Uptake & Utilization

Drive client usage of:

  • AAO
  • GePG
  • Bulk mobile disbursements
  • Other electronic banking channels

Income Growth & Pipeline Management

  • Identify income opportunities
  • Monitor Salesforce sales pipelines
  • Analyze MYMI data for:
    • Income leakage
    • Dormant accounts
    • Transaction declines
    • Pricing accuracy

Liabilities Growth

Support the Relationship Manager to:

  • Grow CASA balances
  • Increase local and foreign currency deposits

Cross-Selling & Upselling

Promote banking products to:

  • Dormant clients
  • Clients not using facilities
  • Clients not using electronic banking services
  • New-to-bank customers

Excess & Risk Management

  • Manage excesses proactively
  • Support settlement limit management
  • Monitor credit trends
  • Respond to excess management issues by 10:00 a.m.

Compliance & Documentation

Ensure compliance with:

  • Clean desk policy
  • Confidentiality requirements
  • Chinese wall policies
  • Audit documentation standards

Client & Customer Responsibilities (30%)

Client Engagement

Conduct high-quality client interactions through:

  • Face-to-face meetings
  • Telephone calls
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Video conferencing

Focus Areas During Engagements

Client engagements should address:

  • Client onboarding
  • Credit management
  • Product collaboration
  • Security management
  • Income management

Salesforce & Reporting

  • Capture all client engagements in Salesforce
  • Prepare call reports after meetings
  • Maintain annual engagement schedules

Credit Process Management

  • Manage the credit process from approval to drawdown
  • Follow up on conditions precedent with RCU
  • Ensure timely drawdowns

Account Opening & Maintenance

Perform maker responsibilities including:

  • Completing KYC documentation
  • Vetting mandates
  • Customer screening
  • Document scanning in Sybrin
  • Data capture on e-box

Securities Maintenance

  • Support post-sanction securities management

Client Call Targets

  • Minimum 6 face-to-face client calls monthly
  • 50% of calls must involve:
    • Relationship Managers
    • Product partners

Complaint Management

  • Resolve complaints proactively
  • Ensure quick turnaround times
  • Improve customer experience and service quality

People Responsibilities (5%)

The Assistant Relationship Manager will:

  • Own career development planning

    • Product teams
    • Credit teams

  • Participate in pipeline calls

Education Requirements
