ACCOUNTANT
Location: Azam ICD, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Said Salim Bakhresa & Co. Ltd is seeking to recruit a competent and detail-oriented Accountant to support operations at Azam Inland Container Depot (AICD).
Key Responsibilities
- Process and verify vendor invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately and timely.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers, cheques, and other vendor payments.
- Create and manage Freight Orders (FO) and Forwarding Order & Settlement Documents (FWSD).
- Maintain proper financial records and ensure compliance with company procedures and regulations.
- Support stock taking and inventory control for AICD machinery spare parts and related materials.
- Resolve invoice and payment discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA) will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in accounting or accounts payable functions.
- Experience in logistics, transport, shipping, ICD, or related operations will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting systems.
