Job Purpose

The Elite Technician Trainee will be responsible for:

• Vehicle valuation
• Vehicle tracker installation and fitment

The role involves ensuring proper vehicle inspection, tracker installation, customer service, and confidentiality of client information.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Inspect motor vehicles and determine their estimated market value.
• Diagnose and advise on:
  • Mechanical repairs
  • Electrical repairs
  • Body repairs
• Determine vehicle roadworthiness and conduct road tests where necessary.
• Update daily vehicle valuation registers.
• Provide regular updates on changes within the automobile industry.
• Assist in dispute resolution relating to vehicle valuations.
• Ensure professional installation and concealment of vehicle tracking devices.
• Capture client details correctly in installation forms and job cards.
• Begin installations only after proper requisition and approval procedures.
• Ensure completeness of client information in the control room database.
• Test tracking units after installation to confirm functionality.
• Ensure installation areas are secure during and after installation.
• Ensure clients sign post-installation forms before vehicle handover.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Academic and Professional Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• Minimum Certificate or Diploma in:
  • Automotive Engineering
  • Related field
• Experience:
  • 0–1 year
• Valid Tanzanian driving license (Mandatory)
