Job Title: Marketing & Communications Business Partner (Re-advertised)

Reports To: Head of Business

Purpose of the Job

  • Acts as a strategic liaison between specific business units and the central marketing team.

  • Develops tailored communication plans to drive growth and brand consistency.

  • Translates business goals into actionable marketing strategies, covering content creation, digital campaigns, internal communications, and stakeholder management.

Key Accountabilities

Marketing Management Functions

  • To develop Strategic Marketing Plans to support the company’s goals (including ad hoc events, tariff/pricing, seasonal activities)

  • Manage brand identity, look & feel, awareness and reputation and update elements and values as needed.

  • Develop cross functional relationships to leverage ideas and materials and align with the overarching brand identity.

  • Leverage both traditional and digital marketing tactics towards the creation of effective media campaigns and plans.

  • Conduct market analysis and research to identify trends and opportunities.

  • Works with other departments to develop new products and services using market insights.

  • Promote a customer-centric work culture within the Marketing and Communications department and throughout the organisation.

  • Encourage growth and development of team members.

Communications Management Function

  • Manage and monitor the corporate identity of the company’s brand across all public channels (web, social media, email and others).

  • Manage all internal communications.

  • Ensure all press releases, speeches, media columns, blogs, vlogs, podcasts are written to the highest standard using the company’s Brand Voice.

  • Manage all interactions with media houses and occasionally perform the role of the company’s spokesperson as per the directive of the CEO.

  • Maintain productive and positive relationships with the media houses and a current media database.

  • Provide protocol planning and management for meetings, hosting external stakeholders.

  • Develop and manage a Crisis Communications Management Plan.

Customer Experience Function

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer journeys across all touchpoints (branch, mobile, ATM).

  • Analyze customer feedback, surveys (NPS/CSAT), and CRM data to identify pain points and areas for improvement.

  • Set service standards for front-line staff to ensure high-quality service, professionalism, and consistent brand experience.

  • Oversee the resolution of escalated complaints within mandated Turnaround Times (TATs).

  • Ensure compliance with financial consumer protection regulations and internal bank policies.

  • Lead training initiatives and coach staff on customer-centricity and service recovery.

  • Work with operations, sales, and IT teams to align service goals with business objectives.

Thinking Requirements and Working Complexity

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret market opportunities and emerging trends information.

  • Ability to identify risks and proactively work on mitigating the risks.

Knowledge and Experience Required of Job Holder

  • University Graduate from a recognized and well-established University.

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years in management experienced in Marketing & sales, Public Relations, Communications and Corporate Affairs.

  • Ability to plan – 3 -5 years planning in terms of vision, mission and mandate.

  • Ability to plan workflow to maximize efficiency.

  • Ability to work as a team player.

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
