Job Description
The Sales Intern – Advertising Department will support the Advertising Department in sales generation, client servicing, account management, market research, and coordination of advertising activities while gaining practical experience in media sales and customer relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Business Managers in identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Assist in managing and growing relationships with existing clients.
- Follow up on advertising bookings, artwork submissions, and client approvals.
- Coordinate with internal departments including Editorial, Production, Finance, and Traffic to ensure timely execution of advertisements.
- Assist in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and client reports.
- Conduct market research and monitor competitor advertising activities.
- Support collection and reconciliation of client documentation and records.
- Participate in client visits, sales meetings, and activations when required.
- Maintain proper records of customer interactions and sales activities.
- Assist in achieving departmental sales targets and revenue growth initiatives.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Business Managers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Mass Communication, or related field from a recognized institution.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Previous internship or sales experience will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good customer service orientation.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Computer literacy in MS Office applications.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
