Position Overview

The Regional Inventory Controller will own end-to-end stock integrity at the regional fulfillment centre. The role focuses on eliminating stock inaccuracies, enforcing transaction discipline, and maintaining a controlled and auditable inventory environment aligned with inventory management systems and Finance operations.

  • Regional Operations Lead
  • Dotted line to Country Transport Coordinator

Key Expectations

  • Maintain stock accuracy above 98% across all categories.
  • Ensure all inventory movements are executed through valid IMS transaction types.
  • Execute cycle count programmes without gaps.
  • Maintain complete traceability of serialized inventory.
  • Ensure alignment between IMS records, physical stock, and QBO valuation.
  • Maintain audit readiness and accurate reporting at all times.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Inventory Execution and Control

  • Manage inventory integrity from inbound receipt to outbound dispatch and returns.
  • Ensure all stock movements are system-led and traceable.
  • Enforce transaction discipline across inventory flows.

2. Inbound and Receiving Discipline

  • Receive shipments against approved purchase orders.
  • Verify quantities, serial numbers, and item condition.
  • Execute serialized GRNs in the inventory management system.
  • Coordinate inbound scheduling and exception handling.

3. Warehouse Structure and Inventory Organisation

  • Maintain six-zone warehouse structure:
    • Inbound Staging
    • Available Stock
    • Kitting and Outbound
    • Returns and Repairs
    • Obsolete and Scrap
    • Quarantine
  • Enforce bin-level location control and inventory segregation.

4. Outbound and Fulfillment Discipline

  • Execute picking, packing, and staging processes.
  • Validate outbound loads through system and physical checks.
  • Ensure accurate dispatch documentation.

5. Reverse Logistics Ownership

  • Manage returned inventory intake and classification.
  • Update IMS records for all returns.
  • Maintain supplier return processes and tracking.

6. Inventory Audit and Cycle Counting

  • Execute cycle count programmes across inventory classes.
  • Conduct quarterly reconciliations and variance investigations.
  • Maintain inventory movement logs and traceability.

7. IMS Data Discipline and Systems Control

  • Enforce proper use of IMS transaction types.
  • Maintain alignment between IMS and warehouse structure.
  • Support training and system adherence.

8. Performance Reporting and Finance Interface

  • Deliver weekly and monthly inventory reports.
  • Support Finance in stock reconciliation and valuation.
  • Track inventory aging and risk categories.

9. Safety, Compliance and Standards

  • Enforce lithium battery storage and safety procedures.
  • Maintain warehouse safety and HSSE compliance.
  • Update warehouse SOPs and work instructions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing serialized and high-value inventory.
  • Strong understanding of inventory reconciliation and warehouse controls.
  • Experience with SOP enforcement and warehouse process discipline.
  • Strong problem-solving and reporting skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Operations, and Tech teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of IMS/WMS systems.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of warehouse operations experience with direct responsibility for stock accuracy.
  • Degree or HND in:
    • Supply Chain
    • Logistics
    • Procurement
    • Business Administration
    • Engineering
  • Experience with ERP/IMS/WMS systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Experience with inventory valuation and reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with HSSE standards and battery handling.
