The Residence Zanzibar is a luxury five-star resort located on the southwest coast of Zanzibar, near the village of Kizimkazi. It is operated by Cenizaro Hotels & Resorts and forms part of the global The Residence by Cenizaro collection.
Opened in 2011, the resort sits on a 32-hectare tropical estate along the Indian Ocean and offers a peaceful luxury environment. The property features 66 private villas, each with its own swimming pool, and its architecture blends Swahili, Omani, Indian, and European influences, reflecting Zanzibar’s cultural heritage.
The resort provides high-end hospitality services including fine dining, spa and wellness facilities, water sports, and cultural excursions. It also supports sustainable tourism and community initiatives in nearby villages.

Position Available
Main Accountant
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
-
Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent preferred.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within the hospitality industry.

Strong understanding of hotel accounting systems, internal controls, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Knowledge of local tax laws and statutory compliance requirements.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
-
Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
