Job Vacancy: Payment Specialist

Key Responsibilities

Refund Payments

• Process refund requests for clients who have formally requested a refund.

• Pay out overpayment balances back to clients as refunds.

Payment Assignment & Allocation

• Assist in tracking and assigning unidentified payments to their correct accounts.

• Assist in assigning and unassigning downpayments.

• Ensure assigned payments are properly allocated to the correct client profiles.

Yas Statements Preparation

• Support the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly Yas disbursement statements.

• Support the compilation and preparation of monthly Yas collection statements.

Receipt Verification

• Verify that physical or digital receipts match the exact amounts paid.

• Approve pending payments securely after validating the corresponding receipts.

Payment Statement Importing

• Assist in importing payment statements from NMB Bank, Yas, and Airtel Money platforms.

• Ensure accurate and timely importing of all payment files every one hour.

Repossession Costs & Reconciliation

• Disburse payments for repossession costs as required by operations.

• Reconcile all completed transactions and payments on a daily and monthly basis.

• Support the Finance Department with month-end filing for all operational costs incurred.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: Prior internship or professional work experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred.

Skills & Knowledge

• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of foundational accounting principles and Tanzanian financial regulations.

• Software Proficiency: High proficiency in MS Office, with advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel.

• Systems: Familiarity or prior experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is an added advantage.
