Business Development Officers-Full-Time

Location

Dar-es Salaam, Arusha , Mwanza. Moshi and Zanzibar

Job Purpose

Selcom Paytech Limited is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Officer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving business growth, building strong client relationships, and identifying new market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and recruit high-transacting merchants with strong potential for Mobile Money and Card transactions.

  • Maintain continuous engagement and follow-up with prospects until successful closure of sign-up.

  • Ensure merchant handholding post-signup to drive transaction growth and resolve challenges.

  • Implement and maintain branding visibility across recruited merchant locations.

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with merchants to ensure loyalty, satisfaction, and increased transaction volumes.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations) to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives.

  • Represent Selcom Paytech at client meetings, industry events, and conferences.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.

  • Digitally proficient and tech-savvy professional

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnership management (preferably in fintech, banking, or telecom sectors).

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships and close deals.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented mindset.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM systems.
