Located in the heart of the world-renowned Serengeti ecosystem, the lodge offers a unique luxury safari experience surrounded by Tanzania’s iconic wildlife, including the Big Five—lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhinoceros.

Opened in December 2012, the lodge features:

  • 77 guest rooms
  • 12 luxury suites
  • 5 private villas
  • 3 Food & Beverage outlets
  • Discovery Centre
  • Kijana Kids Club
  • Luxury Spa with 6 treatment pavilions
  • Fitness Centre
  • Boutique retail operations

The property is approximately 45 minutes from Seronera Airstrip and is accessible through connecting flights from Tanzania’s major airports.


Position Summary

The Spa Manager is responsible for leading and managing all Spa, Wellness, Fitness Centre, and Boutique Retail operations while ensuring exceptional guest experiences consistent with Four Seasons luxury standards.

The role combines operational leadership, guest relations, financial management, staff development, and strategic business planning within a world-class hospitality environment.


Key Responsibilities

1. Spa and Wellness Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations of:
    • Spa treatment facilities
    • Relaxation areas
    • Wellness facilities
    • Fitness Centre
    • Boutique Retail operations
  • Ensure all products and services meet Four Seasons luxury standards.
  • Maintain exceptional levels of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international health and safety regulations.
  • Manage Spa scheduling, reservations, and service flow through Book4Time.
  • Ensure all facilities remain fully operational and well maintained.

2. Guest Experience and Service Excellence

  • Deliver personalized, world-class guest experiences.
  • Build strong relationships with repeat and VIP guests.
  • Handle guest feedback, concerns, and service recovery promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor and respond to feedback through:
    • Qualtrics
    • TripAdvisor
    • Direct guest feedback channels
  • Ensure guest profiles are accurately maintained in GoldenExp to personalize future stays.
  • Ensure Service Excellence routines and checklists are consistently followed.

3. Team Leadership and Development

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise:
    • Spa Therapists
    • Receptionists
    • Spa Attendants
  • Conduct staff performance evaluations.
  • Facilitate ongoing training and Benchmark Standard Testing.
  • Foster a positive, motivated, and guest-focused team culture.
  • Ensure compliance with grooming and professional appearance standards.
  • Support employee engagement and development initiatives.

4. Financial Management and Business Performance

  • Develop and manage departmental:
    • Budgets
    • Forecasts
    • Financial reports
  • Monitor Spa and Boutique revenue performance.
  • Control operating expenses and maximize profitability.
  • Promote:
    • Spa treatment sales
    • Wellness experiences
    • Retail product sales
  • Analyze financial performance and business trends to improve results.

5. Inventory and Supplier Management

  • Manage inventory levels for:
    • Spa products
    • Retail products
    • Operational supplies
    • Equipment
  • Conduct stock control and inventory monitoring.
  • Minimize wastage and losses.
  • Build strong supplier relationships.
  • Ensure quality products and timely deliveries.

6. Fitness Centre Management

  • Ensure the Fitness Centre remains safe, clean, and fully operational.
  • Maintain a welcoming environment for guests using fitness facilities.
  • Monitor equipment maintenance and safety standards.

7. Marketing and Business Development

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to:
    • Promote Spa services
    • Develop seasonal packages
    • Create wellness promotions
  • Analyze market trends and competitor offerings.
  • Support initiatives that increase Spa visibility and revenue.
  • Ensure information across:
    • Mobile App
    • IPTV
    • Online platforms
      remains accurate and updated.

Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in:
    • Hospitality Management
    • Business Administration
    • Related field

(Preferred)


Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in:
    • Spa Management
    • Hospitality Management
    • Luxury hospitality environments
