Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and organized intern to conduct a market study of the poultry value chain in Dar es Salaam and Pwani regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, recording, and organizing data on poultry farmers, agri-vets, and feed retailers across the two regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit and document the locations of poultry farmers, feed distributors, and agri-vets.
• Conduct brief interviews and collect relevant business data.
• Maintain accurate records and maps of all sites visited.
• Summarize findings and support management with insights and data analysis.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Animal Science, or a related field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working independently and meeting targets.
• Must be able to ride a motorcycle (with a valid license).
• Basic computer and smartphone literacy (e.g., Google Maps, Excel, WhatsApp).
• Knowledge of poultry production is an added advantage.
