Sava-Tech Financial Services is a private company duly licensed by the Bank of Tanzania to engage in microfinance operations within Tanzania Mainland, which currently owns and operates a trading name Sava Loan, Sava Loan is an online lending platform that aims to provide affordable financial services to African consumers and small businesses who have limited access to financial products from traditional banks

 

Job Summary:

The Customer Service Intern will support the Customer Service Department in providing excellent customer support and ensuring customer satisfaction. The intern will assist in handling customer inquiries, resolving basic issues, maintaining customer records, and providing accurate information about the company’s products and services. This role offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in customer relationship management, communication, problem-solving, and service operations while working in a professional and dynamic environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Inquiry Handling
    Act as the first point of contact by responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, social media, and in-person communication in a professional manner.
  2. Product & Service Information
    Provide accurate and clear information about Sava Tech Financial Services Limited products, services, and procedures to customers.
  3. Customer Onboarding Support
    Assist customers with account registration, onboarding processes, and service application requirements.
  4. Complaint Resolution Support
    Record, track, and follow up on customer complaints to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  5. Customer Records Management
    Maintain and update accurate customer information in the company’s databases and systems.
  6. Issue Escalation
    Identify and escalate complex customer issues to relevant departments and ensure proper follow-up until resolution.
  7. Service Standards Compliance
    Support the delivery of customer service in line with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  8. Customer Follow-up
    Follow up with customers to confirm resolution of issues and gather feedback for service improvement.
  9. Reporting & Documentation
    Assist in preparing basic customer service reports and ensure proper documentation of customer interactions.
  10. Team Collaboration
    Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth service delivery and a positive customer experience.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, Customer Service, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-Based Environment

The intern will work from the company’s office under the supervision of the Customer Service Department.

Working hours will be in accordance with the company’s official schedule and policies.

  • Customer-Facing Role

The position involves regular interaction with customers and collaboration with internal teams to support service delivery.
