About the Role

The Lead Generator is responsible for identifying potential customers, promoting Absa Bank products and services, supporting customer application processes, ensuring compliance with documentation requirements, and providing market intelligence to support business growth.

The role serves as a key link between prospective customers and the bank by generating quality leads, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Acquisition and Product Promotion

  • Introduce and explain Absa Bank products and services to potential customers.
  • Educate customers on product features, benefits, and eligibility requirements.
  • Identify and generate qualified sales leads for the bank.
  • Support business growth through customer acquisition activities.

Customer Documentation and Application Support

  • Ensure customers submit all required documents according to product specifications.
  • Verify and certify customer documents before submission.
  • Assist customers in completing all required application forms and documentation.
  • Ensure applications are complete, accurate, and compliant with bank requirements.
  • Forward completed customer applications to the Sales Manager for review and approval before submission.

Customer Service and Relationship Management

  • Keep customers informed about the status and outcome of their applications.
  • Provide guidance on available customer feedback and complaint channels.
  • Build positive relationships with prospective and existing customers.
  • Ensure a professional and customer-focused experience throughout the application process.

Confidentiality and Compliance

  • Maintain safe custody of customer documentation.
  • Protect customer confidential information at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle customer information with integrity and professionalism.

Market Intelligence

  • Collect market and competitor information from the field.
  • Monitor competitor products, services, and customer trends.
  • Provide feedback and market insights to Lead Generator (LG) Leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement of products and customer solutions.
