Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC) invites applications from suitably qualified, competent, and experienced candidates to fill the following twenty-three (23) vacant positions.
Available Positions
1. Underwriting Manager
- Number of Positions: 1
- Duty Station: Head Office
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance and Risk Management, Business Administration, or Finance.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in the insurance industry, including at least three (3) years in a managerial underwriting role.
- Strong leadership and staff management skills.
- Proven track record in business growth and achievement of underwriting targets.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills with clients and corporate partners.
- Sound knowledge of insurance regulations and industry best practices.
2. Bancassurance, Sales and Agency Manager
- Number of Positions: 1
- Duty Station: Head Office
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance and Risk Management, Business Administration, or Finance.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in the insurance industry, including at least three (3) years in Bancassurance, Sales, and Agency Management.
- Strong leadership and staff management skills.
- Proven record of success in business development, sales growth, and agency management.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Sound knowledge of insurance regulations and industry best practices.
3. Reinsurance Manager
- Number of Positions: 1
- Duty Station: Head Office
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance and Risk Management, Business Administration, or Finance.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in the insurance industry, including at least three (3) years in reinsurance management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Demonstrated success in reinsurance business development and target achievement.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills with reinsurers and business partners.
- Sound knowledge of insurance regulations and industry best practices.
4. ICT Manager
- Number of Positions: 1
- Duty Station: Head Office
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information and Communication Technology.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in the insurance industry, including at least three (3) years in ICT management.
- Strong leadership and staff management skills.
- Proven record of leveraging technology to support business growth.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of insurance regulations and industry best practices.
5. Insurance Officer II
- Number of Positions: 10
Duty Stations
- Unguja: 8 Positions
- Dar es Salaam: 1 Position
- Tanga: 1 Position
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance and Risk Management or Actuarial Science.
- Computer literacy.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
6. Operations Officer
- Number of Positions: 9
- Duty Station: Unguja
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields:
- Insurance and Risk Management
- Economics of Development
- Management of Social Development
- International Relations
- Public Administration
- Foreign Languages
- Tourism Management and Marketing
- Business Planning and Management
- Commerce
Additional Requirements
- Computer literacy.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse clients and visitors.
General Requirements
