Duties/Responsibilities

Collect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods according to sampling schedules.
Conduct chemical, physical, and biological tests following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Calculate, weigh, and mix chemical solutions, buffers, and culture media required for daily testing.
Log test results immediately into laboratory workbooks or Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
Check and calibrate sensitive equipment like pH meters, analytical balances, and spectrophotometers before use.
Identify instrument errors or drifts and perform basic troubleshooting or request technical service.
Sterilize glassware, clean bench surfaces, and maintain a contamination-free work environment.
Run blank samples, duplicates, and standard reference materials to verify testing accuracy.
To perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification and Skills Required

Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Food science, Laboratory Sciences or related technical field.
1–3 years in manufacturing/industrial lab; sugar industry experience is an advantage.
