Activities
-
- Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
- Monitor and maintain computer systems, power backup systems and networks
- Talk staff through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults, replace hardware parts as required and/or liaise with suppliers for quick resolution
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
- Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
- Support the roll-out of new systems and applications from local initiative and from the Total Group
- Set up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
- Respond within agreed time limits to support call-outs and work round-the-clock to ensure all calls for support are resolved within reasonable time or escalated appropriately and follow ups are made to ensure successful resolution
- Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time
- Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developers, and suppliers. To supervise all suppliers who come to provide
- Follow up with all supplier invoices to make sure they are received on time, entered into the system for approvals and follow up to ensure they get approved on time
- Train users on new systems and applications
- Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve various system issues and business needs that require technological solutions
- Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
- Implement IT policies as per the agreed Company standards and policy documents
- Take regular inventory of all hardware and software systems that are in use within the affiliate and make sure the inventory document is updated regularly
- Raise service support Tickets for all issues that require technical assistance from the support team in Paris HO and ensure a close follow up is done until all issues are resolved and tickets are closed
- Keep record of problems and their resolution
- Maintain technical documentation and service catalog on installation of software, configuration of hardware and problem troubleshooting
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure agreed SLAs are adhered to
- Any other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor or HODs

Candidate Profile
-
- BSc in IT / Computer Science, or equivalence.
- Good Knowledge of Computer Software and Hardware.
- Competent in Cisco Networking Technologies.
- Solid technical background with an ability to address accessibility and compatibility issues.
