The company is seeking an experienced and motivated aviation professional to join its team as Director of Maintenance (DOM), based at its headquarters in Arusha.

Position Summary

The Director of Maintenance will be responsible for the overall management and control of Air Excel’s aircraft maintenance programme. The role ensures the continued airworthiness of the fleet and full compliance with:

• Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) requirements
• Aircraft manufacturer recommendations
• Company maintenance procedures and standards

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must possess:

• Current TCAA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence (AMEL).
• Cessna 208/C208B (Grand Caravan) Type Rating endorsed on the licence.
• Proven experience managing aircraft maintenance within a commercial aviation environment.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • TCAA regulations
  • Continuing airworthiness requirements
  • Aircraft maintenance planning
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.

Desirable Qualifications

Additional advantages include:

• Previous experience working as a Director of Maintenance or Continuing Airworthiness Manager.
• Experience with:
  • Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Programmes (CAMP)
  • Maintenance planning systems
  • Regulatory audits
• Additional aircraft type ratings.
