National Bank of Commerce (NBC) is one of Tanzania’s leading financial institutions. The bank is currently seeking motivated, result-oriented, and self-driven individuals to fill 20 vacancies for the position of Direct Sales Agent at the NBC Dodoma Branch.

Job Overview

Job Purpose:

To drive the sales of Retail Banking Liabilities (deposit) products at the branch level. The successful candidates will focus on achieving agreed sales targets in line with business objectives through proactive selling, lead generation, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales Performance: Deliver exceptional sales results by identifying customer needs and actively selling NBC liabilities and deposit products.

• Lead Generation: Conduct hands-on sales activities, including generating high-quality leads and executing systematic follow-ups to convert prospects into active customers.

• Campaigns & Activations: Actively participate in planned sales activations, marketing campaigns, and branch outreach programs to meet specific performance targets.

• Digital Onboarding: Guide new customers through the onboarding process and ensure they are active and digitally connected to NBC’s banking platforms.

• Account Opening: Assist customers with the end-to-end account opening process in strict compliance with NBC policies before submitting documentation to operations for final processing.

• Compliance & Risk Management: Adhere fully to NBC Operational Risk & Rigor requirements, including Know Your Customer (KYC) standards, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, and occupational health and safety guidelines.

• Other Duties: Perform any other business-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or line manager.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Minimum of Ordinary Level Secondary Education (Form IV).

• Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of banking products, financial services, and retail banking concepts.

• Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasive selling skills.

• Attributes: Self-motivated, highly organized, and a collaborative team player who takes personal ownership of sales targets.

• Work Style: Ability to work independently under minimal supervision, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain meticulous follow-up habits.
