About the Position

The Barrick Africa Middle East Team is seeking a qualified and motivated Maintenance Storeman to join its team in Tarime, Mara Region.

Key Responsibilities

The Maintenance Storeman will be responsible for:

Receiving, storing, assembling, packing, and unpacking goods.
Ensuring received goods are not damaged and verifying that all ordered items are complete.
Liaising with relevant trades regarding materials required for task completion.
Ensuring purchase orders indicate where materials will be used and have approval from relevant supervisors.
Issuing tools and maintaining cleanliness of workshops and surrounding areas.
Following safety practices to ensure the site remains free from hazards.
Monitoring stock levels and identifying when additional orders are required.
Organizing inventory to ensure safe and easy access.
Assisting with stock counting and inventory checks.
Ensuring the safety and security of stored materials through proper security measures and compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
Maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Following instructions provided by supervisors.
Safely loading and unloading materials onto vehicles and assisting colleagues when required.

Qualifications Requirements

Applicants should have:

Ordinary Secondary School Education (O-Level).
Practical skills in maintenance practices and engineering knowledge.
Awareness of Mines Health & Safety Act requirements.

Experience and Competencies

Candidates should possess:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role involving:
- Store operations
- Driving responsibilities
- Yard management activities
Equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.
Ability to drive with a valid driving licence.
