Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

Court & Tribunal Representation

  • Attend and represent clients in various courts.
  • Handle matters before:
    • Courts of law.
    • Commission for Mediation and Arbitration (CMA).
    • District Land and Housing Tribunal.
    • Other relevant tribunals.

Pleadings & Legal Drafting

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents required for court proceedings.

Registries & Legal Filings

  • Assist clients with matters involving:
    • Company registries.
    • Land registries.
    • Filing and lodging documents.
    • Conducting searches.
    • Following up on applications and submissions.

Legal Opinions

  • Prepare well-researched legal opinions for clients and Partners of the Firm.

Partner Support

  • Provide legal support to assigned Partners, including:
    • Legal research.
    • Case preparation.
    • Legal documentation.
    • Other assigned legal tasks.

Additional Duties

  • Perform other legal responsibilities assigned by the Firm’s Partners to support the growth and success of the Firm.

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • LL.B Degree from a recognized university.
  • Admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and Courts Subordinate thereto.
  • 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in:
    • A reputable law firm, or
    • Legal department.
  • Proven experience in:
    • Civil litigation, or
    • Mining law practice, or
    • Corporate law, or
    • Business law.
  • Excellent legal drafting and research skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
  • High level of professionalism and commitment to client service.
