Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
Court & Tribunal Representation
- Attend and represent clients in various courts.
- Handle matters before:
- Courts of law.
- Commission for Mediation and Arbitration (CMA).
- District Land and Housing Tribunal.
- Other relevant tribunals.
Pleadings & Legal Drafting
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents required for court proceedings.
Registries & Legal Filings
- Assist clients with matters involving:
- Company registries.
- Land registries.
- Filing and lodging documents.
- Conducting searches.
- Following up on applications and submissions.
Legal Opinions
- Prepare well-researched legal opinions for clients and Partners of the Firm.
Partner Support
- Provide legal support to assigned Partners, including:
- Legal research.
- Case preparation.
- Legal documentation.
- Other assigned legal tasks.
Additional Duties
- Perform other legal responsibilities assigned by the Firm’s Partners to support the growth and success of the Firm.
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants must have:
- LL.B Degree from a recognized university.
- Admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and Courts Subordinate thereto.
- 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in:
- A reputable law firm, or
- Legal department.
- Proven experience in:
- Civil litigation, or
- Mining law practice, or
- Corporate law, or
- Business law.
- Excellent legal drafting and research skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
- High level of professionalism and commitment to client service.
