Job Overview
Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd is seeking a talented and experienced professional to join its Supply Chain Department as a Supply Planner based in Dar es Salaam.
The successful candidate will report to the Country Lead Supply Chain Planning and will be responsible for developing and executing material supply plans to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and packaging materials, supporting uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Forecast Management
- Translate approved demand forecasts and production plans into material supply plans and replenishment requirements to ensure continuous manufacturing operations.
- Assess the impact of promotions, new product launches, demand changes, and operational constraints on material requirements.
- Adjust supply plans to maintain production continuity.
- Collaborate with Demand Planning, Commercial, and Manufacturing teams to align material supply plans with business forecasts and production schedules.
2. Material and Packaging Availability
- Develop and execute supply plans to ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging materials according to production requirements and service level targets.
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels based on inventory policies, weeks of cover, working capital requirements, and inventory costs.
- Coordinate material balancing across manufacturing sites to improve inventory utilization and reduce supply risks.
- Manage assigned supplier portfolios by working closely with Procurement teams and suppliers to:
- Ensure timely material deliveries.
- Resolve supply constraints.
- Improve supplier performance.
3. Supply Planning and Monitoring
- Develop and maintain rolling material supply plans aligned with:
- Demand forecasts.
- Production plans.
- Inventory strategies.
- Business objectives.
- Monitor short-term material requirements through Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Ensure timely replenishment and material availability.
- Identify and mitigate material supply risks by implementing contingency plans.
- Support peak demand and seasonal planning activities by ensuring adequate material availability.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Reporting
- Work closely with:
- Procurement.
- Manufacturing.
- Warehousing.
- Logistics.
- Quality.
- Demand Planning.
- Commercial teams.
- Monitor and report key supply planning performance indicators, including:
- Material availability.
- Inventory performance.
- Supplier performance.
- Supply risks.
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Communicate material constraints, risks, and planning recommendations to support effective decision-making.
5. Systems and Data Management
- Maintain accurate planning master data and parameters within ERP and planning systems.
- Support effective Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and supply planning activities.
- Analyze planning, inventory, and distribution data to:
- Identify trends.
- Improve forecasting accuracy.
- Optimize inventory.
- Support operational decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance:
- Supply planning processes.
- Inventory optimization.
- Supplier reliability.
- Overall supply chain performance.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should have:
- A Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Operations Management, Production Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- A Bachelor’s degree will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in:
- Supply Chain Planning.
- Material Planning.
- Inventory Management.
- Related roles within FMCG or manufacturing environments.
- Proven experience managing raw materials and packaging materials.

- Ability to proactively address and prevent stock-outs and supply shortages.

- Experience using:
- MSD365 systems.
- Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
- ERP and supply planning systems.

- Ability to maintain accurate planning data and validate system information.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and suppliers.
