Job Purpose

Bagamoyo Sugar Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Irrigation Supervisor to oversee irrigation activities, coordinate technical teams, support irrigation planning, and ensure efficient operation and maintenance of irrigation systems within the farm operations.

Key Responsibilities

The Irrigation Supervisor will:

• Monitor daily activities of the irrigation technical team.
• Assist the Irrigation Engineer in preparing:
  • Irrigation programmes
  • Fertigation schedules

  according to operational requirements.

• Set work targets and ensure effective achievement of planned objectives.
• Participate in field activities within assigned zones in coordination with block supervisors.
• Lead inspection of irrigation systems according to approved schedules.
• Supervise irrigation system maintenance programmes and ensure activities are completed on time.
• Promote workplace safety and maintain continuous focus on injury prevention.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Applicants must have:

• A Diploma in:
  • Irrigation and Water Resources Engineering
  • Civil and Irrigation Engineering
  • Related technical field
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in irrigation projects.
• Experience working in the sugar industry will be an added advantage.
