Job Overview

Computer Centre Tanzania is seeking a skilled Network Support Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing secure, scalable, and high-performing network and IT infrastructure solutions.

The successful candidate will provide technical expertise, support managed services, troubleshoot complex network issues, and deliver reliable IT solutions that meet customer and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust network architectures that meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.
• Provide technical expertise during client meetings and respond to technical inquiries.
• Conduct network assessments to identify performance improvements and optimization opportunities.
• Provide Level 2 managed services support, including:
  • Troubleshooting complex network issues
  • Monitoring network performance
  • Ensuring minimum downtime
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including:
  • Network design documents
  • Network diagrams
  • Configuration documents
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to post-sales implementation teams.
• Visit customer sites to provide technical support and managed IT services.
• Deliver technical presentations and perform installation and configuration of:
  • Network infrastructure
  • Security solutions
  • Collaboration solutions

Required Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in:
  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Related IT field
    (or equivalent practical experience)
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer, particularly in:
  • Network configuration
  • Technical presales activities
  • Solution implementation
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
• Hands-on experience with firewall solutions such as:
  • Cisco ASA
  • Palo Alto Networks
  • Fortinet
  • Sophos (added advantage)
• Experience designing:
  • Wired networks
  • Wireless networks
• Experience using IT network monitoring tools, including:
  • SolarWinds
  • Nagios
  • PRTG
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Professional Certifications

Candidates with the following certifications will have an added advantage:

• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
• CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
• NSE 4
• Sophos Architect Certification
• Other relevant professional IT certifications
