Job Purpose
CRDB Bank is seeking Contract & Vendor Management Specialists responsible for managing ICT contracts, supplier relationships, and vendor performance to ensure compliance, cost efficiency, and effective service delivery.
The role will ensure ICT contracts are properly structured, aligned with business and regulatory requirements, and deliver optimal value. The successful candidates will manage the full ICT vendor lifecycle, including contract management, Service Level Agreement (SLA) monitoring, supplier performance evaluation, budget control, and vendor payment processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage ICT supplier contracts, including:
- Contract reviews
- SLA negotiations
- Contract implementation
- Performance monitoring
- Ensure achievement of agreed financial and service performance targets.
- Monitor contract compliance and track supplier deliverables, including:
- License usage
- Software utilization
- Contract obligations
- Support annual ICT budget planning, review, and approval processes by:
- Preparing budget proposals
- Reviewing expenditure trends
- Recommending budget adjustments based on business needs
- Establish and maintain an updated catalogue of all third-party ICT suppliers.
- Coordinate supplier performance reviews by:
- Organizing review meetings
- Preparing performance reports
- Sharing findings with relevant stakeholders
- Participate in ICT supplier commercial negotiations to ensure:
- Cost efficiency
- Value optimization
- Effective service delivery terms
- Monitor ICT budget utilization through:
- Payment reviews
- Tracking project and service costs
- Recording commercial commitments
- Support ICT budget proposals and recommend adjustments where required.
- Manage ICT supplier contracts and ensure effective:
- SLA implementation
- Service performance monitoring
- Contract lifecycle management
- Validate contract deliverables, including software licenses and service utilization against agreed terms.
- Resolve disputes between ICT teams and suppliers through effective negotiation and stakeholder engagement.
- Oversee ICT supplier payments while improving:
- Payment turnaround time (TAT)
- Process efficiency
- Financial control
- Monitor supplier performance by tracking:
- Incidents
- Service requests
- SLA compliance
- Provide regular vendor performance reports to management.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Computer Science
- Computer Information Systems
- Management Information Systems
- Related ICT fields
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in:
- IT Contracts Management
- Supplier Management
- Vendor Management
Experience should preferably be within:
- Banking sector
- Financial institutions
- Similar regulated environments
Professional Certifications and Skills
Relevant certifications and knowledge will be an added advantage, including:
- CISA
- CGEIT
- CRISC
- Procurement and Contract Management certifications
Additional desirable knowledge:
- ITIL framework
- PRINCE2 / PMP project management methodologies
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Technical Competencies
Candidates should demonstrate knowledge and experience in:
- ICT supplier and vendor management processes.
- Contract lifecycle management.
- SLA development, negotiation, and monitoring.
- Supplier performance evaluation.
- IT governance, assurance, and compliance frameworks.
- Information security principles.
- ICT systems and technology environments.
- Banking regulatory requirements in Tanzania.
- Financial management concepts, including:
