Geita Gold Mine is seeking experienced, qualified, and motivated Operators – FAP to join its Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) team.
Job Purpose
The Operators – FAP will be responsible for operating heavy mining equipment to support mining operations while ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable equipment performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating heavy machinery according to mining plans.
- Conducting routine equipment inspections.
- Performing preventative maintenance checks.
- Ensuring work is completed according to operational requirements.
- Strictly following safety standards, procedures, and mining regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate assigned heavy mining equipment.
- Conduct pre-start inspections and identify equipment defects.
- Report mechanical issues and safety concerns promptly.
- Follow mine operating procedures and safety requirements.
- Maintain equipment performance through proper operation practices.
- Support production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with mining teams and supervisors.
- Maintain accurate operational records as required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy machinery.
- Valid heavy machinery operator’s license.
- Professional certificate in heavy machinery operation.
- Completion of secondary school education.
- Valid Tanzanian driving license with classes:
- C
- D
- E
- F
Additional Requirements
- Ability to read and write English.
- Valid Police Clearance Certificate.
- Successful candidates must undergo mandatory pre-employment medical examinations.
