Thamini Uhai implements the Partnership Program for Comprehensive and Integrated Maternal and Newborn Health Improvement in Tanzania.
The program operates in:
- Mwanza Region
- Geita Region
- Katavi Region
- Kigoma Region
The initiative aims to accelerate Tanzania’s progress toward achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 targets by 2030 through improved maternal and newborn healthcare services.
Key program areas include:
- Strengthening Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (CEmONC) services.
- Implementing the E-MOTIVE postpartum haemorrhage (PPH) bundle.
- Upgrading neonatal care units.
- Integrating Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS) into routine antenatal care (ANC).
Invitation for Prequalification
Thamini Uhai invites qualified suppliers, firms, and bidders to apply for prequalification to supply goods, works, and services for the 2026–2027 period.
Eligible suppliers may apply for prequalification under the following category:

Mandatory Requirements
Interested suppliers must meet all requirements and submit the following documents:
- Certificate of incorporation, partnership deed, or business registration certificate.
- Valid trade licence or business permit.
- Certificates from relevant regulatory bodies, accreditation organizations, or professional associations where applicable.
- Current tax clearance certificate.
- TIN certificate and VAT registration certificate.
- Certified latest audited financial statements.
- Annual returns and payment receipts.
- List of directors and shareholders.
- Organizational structure/chart (organogram).
- Details of business establishment, including office location.
- Details of organizational capacity, including:
- Number of employees
- Equipment availability
- Other relevant resources
- Evidence of previous experience providing similar supplies or services.
- References from organizations that have received similar services, preferably within the last two years.
Payment Conditions
- Payments will only be made to suppliers who issue an EFD/fiscalised receipt.
- Payment will only be made to the supplier named on the purchase order cover page.
- Payments will not be made to third parties.
Submission Instructions
Suppliers who meet the prequalification requirements will be considered for the categories they apply for.
Completed prequalification documents must:
- Clearly indicate the Tender Reference Number and Category.
- Include any additional supporting information that may strengthen the application.
