Job Overview

Access Bank Tanzania is seeking a Business Analyst – Business Performance & Insights to support business decision-making through data analysis, performance reporting, dashboard development, and actionable insights.

The successful candidate will analyze business performance data, identify trends and opportunities, support forecasting, and help business teams improve operational efficiency through data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Reporting & Insights

• Develop, maintain, and improve business performance reports, dashboards, and analytical tools.
• Analyze business data, trends, and performance indicators to identify:
  • Insights
  • Risks
  • Opportunities
  • Areas requiring improvement
• Provide regular reports on:
  • Key business metrics
  • Performance trends
  • Progress against targets
• Support business teams in interpreting data and using insights to improve performance.

2. Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring

• Collect, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources to ensure accurate reporting.
• Monitor business performance against agreed targets.
• Identify:
  • Performance gaps
  • Variances
  • Emerging trends
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend practical solutions.
• Support:
  • Business forecasting
  • Business planning
  • Performance review processes
• Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate requirements into meaningful insights.
• Identify opportunities for:
  • Process improvements
  • Operational efficiency
• Prepare management reports and presentations that clearly communicate findings.
• Support business review meetings with relevant performance analysis and updates.

3. Reporting Automation & Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes.
• Improve data visualization and reporting efficiency.
• Develop and maintain dashboards using relevant analytics tools.
• Ensure reporting processes are:

  • Aligned with business requirements
• Promote data-driven decision-making across business units.
