Position Summary
Kerry is seeking an experienced QSHE Supervisor to lead Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment (QSHE) activities at its Dar es Salaam facility. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, oversee manufacturing quality systems, maintain GMP/GHP practices, and drive continuous improvement across operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a “Safety First, Quality Always” culture throughout the site.
- Lead, coach, train, and develop the Quality team.
- Ensure compliance with:
- HACCP
- GMPs
- GHPs
- SSOPs
- Allergen Management Programs
- Sanitation Programs
- Lead customer complaint investigations and ensure timely resolution.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Oversee inspection of incoming raw materials and finished products.
- Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop and deliver quality training programs focusing on GMP and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
- Conduct internal quality audits and management reviews.
- Monitor quality performance trends and recommend improvement initiatives.
- Develop, review, and align procedures with Kerry’s Global Quality Management System (GQMS) and corporate policies.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Food Science
- Microbiology
- Chemistry
- Or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in food quality and safety.
- Experience working in a multinational:
- Food manufacturing company
- Ingredients company
- Pharmaceutical company (preferred)
Preferred Certifications
Candidates with the following certifications will have an added advantage:
- FSSC 22000
- HACCP
- GMPs
- GHPs
- Lead Auditor Certification
Additional advantage:
- Knowledge of:
- Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Lean Manufacturing
- Six Sigma methodologies
