About the Role

CCBRT is recruiting a Medical Doctor (General Practitioner) to strengthen its Clinical Division. The successful candidate will provide medical care in both outpatient and inpatient departments while supporting surgical services and emergency care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine, diagnose, and treat patients.
  • Conduct scheduled outpatient clinics.
  • Screen and assess patients.
  • Admit patients to inpatient wards.
  • Prepare operation lists.
  • Update senior doctors and specialists on patient progress and discharge plans.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures where appropriate.
  • Assist senior surgeons during major operations.
  • Participate in outreach activities when required.
  • Work rotational shifts, including:
    • Night shifts
    • Weekends
    • On-call duties

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a recognized institution.
  • Successful completion of a one-year internship.
  • Minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.7.
  • Registered with the Tanganyika Medical Council.
  • Valid 2026 Medical Practitioner License.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of post-internship working experience in a reputable healthcare institution.

Required Skills

  • Computer literacy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Swahili.
  • Teamwork and patient-centered approach.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
