Basic Purpose

The Treasury Sales Dealer will work closely with the Bank’s branches and business units to promote, grow, and cross-sell treasury products. The role focuses on providing treasury solutions to clients, meeting foreign exchange, hedging, and investment needs, while increasing the Bank’s revenue through effective client relationship management and business development.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Relationship Management

• Develop and maintain a strong SME customer base by building relationships with key decision-makers and growing business in line with set targets.
• Understand customer needs and provide suitable treasury solutions.
• Follow up with internal teams, including Credit and Transaction Banking units, on clients’ foreign exchange requirements.
• Strengthen SME customer penetration in foreign exchange and treasury products.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards to increase market share and expand the customer base.
• Serve as the primary treasury contact for SME clients requiring treasury solutions.

Treasury Products & Sales

• Market and promote treasury products including:
  • Spot Foreign Exchange
  • Forward Contracts
  • Swaps
  • Other treasury solutions
• Execute FX transactions (currency purchases and sales) through approved communication channels including recorded calls and emails.
• Support customer migration and adoption of electronic treasury platforms such as EazzyFX.
• Participate in deposit mobilization by engaging customers seeking investment and placement opportunities.
• Contribute to SME business growth and overall revenue generation.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

• Monitor financial market developments, competitor activities, and market trends.
• Track competitor products, pricing strategies, and marketing initiatives.
• Provide weekly reports on:
  • Client growth
  • Transaction volumes
  • Portfolio profitability

Customer Service & Compliance

• Ensure customer queries are handled professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain a high standard of service to enhance the Bank’s reputation.
• Ensure compliance with:
  • Bank policies and procedures
  • Regulatory requirements
  • Money Laundering Prevention and KYC guidelines
  • Operational, market, and reputational risk policies
  • ACI Code of Conduct

Additional Responsibilities

• Train and mentor dealers and bank staff on:
  • Foreign exchange products
  • Money market products
  • Fixed income products
• Deputize the SME Sales Manager when required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in:
  • Business
  • Commerce
  • Finance
  • Economics
  • Any related field
• ACI Dealing Certificate.
• Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 4 years’ relevant working experience.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Understanding of treasury policies, procedures, and ethical requirements.
• Knowledge of:
  • Interest rate risk management
  • Liquidity and funding risk management
  • Capital risk management
  • Financial markets and economic fundamentals
  • Treasury, retail, corporate, and capital market products
• Strong Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
