Role Overview

The Deputy Vice Chancellor – Planning, Finance and Administration will serve as:

• A key advisor and assistant to the Vice Chancellor.
• A senior leader responsible for delegated university planning, finance, and administrative matters.
• A contributor to institutional strategy, governance, and operational excellence.

The position will oversee matters assigned by the Vice Chancellor and responsibilities prescribed by university regulations.

Key Responsibilities

The Deputy Vice Chancellor will be responsible for:

• Supporting the Vice Chancellor in strategic university management.
• Providing leadership in planning, finance, and administration functions.
• Advising on institutional development and resource management.
• Supporting implementation of university policies and strategic plans.
• Ensuring effective administration and financial governance.
• Performing duties delegated by the Vice Chancellor.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Academic Qualifications

• Must be a Professor or Associate Professor.
• Must possess a PhD degree from a recognized university.

Professional Experience

Candidates must have:

• Outstanding academic experience.
• Strong administrative experience.
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience at senior management level.
