Job Summary

The Residence Zanzibar is seeking an experienced Assistant Engineering Manager to support the engineering department in maintaining and operating hotel facilities and equipment. The successful candidate will assist in preventive maintenance planning, supervise engineering activities, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and operation of hotel facilities, systems, and equipment.
• Support the planning and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
• Supervise engineering team members and external contractors.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with:
  • Health and safety standards
  • Environmental requirements
  • Hotel operational procedures
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues.
• Assist in maintaining reliable operation of hotel infrastructure.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in:
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Related engineering field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in:
  • Engineering operations
  • Facilities management
  • Hospitality engineering (preferred)
• Strong skills in:
  • Leadership
  • Problem-solving
  • Communication
• Ability to supervise teams and coordinate contractor activities.
