Job Purpose

The Personal Banker will be responsible for growing the bank’s customer base and business portfolio by acquiring new customers, mobilising deposits, promoting banking products, achieving monthly sales targets and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect, acquire and onboard new customers.
• Identify potential market segments and new business opportunities.
• Grow CASA accounts, term deposits and fee income.
• Cross-sell savings and current accounts, insurance, cards and digital banking services.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Conduct customer visits, sales calls and regular follow-ups.
• Prepare daily sales, customer-call and business-development reports.
• Support branch sales campaigns and promotional activities.
• Identify customer needs and recommend suitable banking solutions.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures and business continuity requirements.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Branch Manager.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

• A university degree in:
  • Banking and Finance
  • Economics
  • Accounting
  • Business Administration
  • Or another related field

The degree must be from a recognized higher learning institution.

Experience

The position is open to:

• Fresh graduates, or
• Candidates with at least one year of relevant experience in direct sales, customer service or relationship management.
