About the Position

LOLC Tanzania Microfinance Bank is seeking an Intern Business Development Officer to support business growth, loan sales, customer acquisition, and portfolio management.

The successful candidate will be involved in field sales activities, identifying potential borrowers, promoting loan products, and maintaining strong customer relationships and portfolio quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and convert high-potential loan opportunities to achieve monthly business targets.
• Maintain a 100% collection rate on assigned loans.
• Conduct field sales activities, including visits to dealers and marketplaces, to generate leads.
• Educate clients about loan products, repayment terms, and eligibility requirements.
• Monitor and manage loan portfolio performance to maintain portfolio quality.
• Provide market insights to improve business performance, operational efficiency, and customer engagement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants should have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within a financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of car loans or similar financial products.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
• Ability to work in a field-based sales environment and meet business targets.
