Job Purpose

The Corporate Brand, Reputation & Communications Manager will lead and manage corporate brand communications across AB InBev’s Greater African markets.

The role focuses on developing and implementing corporate branding, communications, public relations, media, sustainability communications, and stakeholder engagement strategies. The position will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen the company’s reputation and support commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Corporate Brand Management

  • Develop and implement brand strategies to strengthen the company’s image and increase brand awareness.
  • Ensure alignment with AB InBev’s group brand guidelines.
  • Manage major corporate branding projects and initiatives.
  • Oversee production of digital content, including photography, video, multimedia, and online copy.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate brand policies.
  • Develop corporate communication campaigns that build understanding and stakeholder support.

2. Corporate Brand Strategy

  • Lead the development of brand strategies and plans that support innovation, operational efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Develop and execute integrated communication and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Create and manage content calendars for social media, websites, newsletters, and other digital platforms.
  • Develop communications initiatives designed to positively influence stakeholder perceptions.

3. Public Relations

  • Manage public relations activities to strengthen the company’s public image.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Provide communications support for corporate events.
  • Prepare speeches and presentations for executive management.
  • Draft press releases, speeches, and other corporate correspondence.

4. Media & Advertising

  • Lead the implementation of media strategies across relevant channels.
  • Develop detailed campaign briefs for internal and external creative teams.
  • Monitor media and audience trends.
  • Analyse marketing and communications performance.
  • Evaluate audience engagement and campaign effectiveness.

5. Regulatory & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage government stakeholders on public policy-related campaigns.
  • Work with community leaders and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with external content creators to develop compelling corporate stories.
  • Support effective engagement with online audiences.

6. Sustainability Communications

  • Drive implementation of the Sustainability Communications Country Plan.
  • Support sustainability projects aimed at improving relevant sustainability indices.
  • Ensure sustainability initiatives are effectively communicated to stakeholders.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Brand Awareness

  • Increase brand awareness across the company’s markets.
  • Improve brand recall among target audiences.

Engagement

  • Increase social media engagement.
  • Improve digital content engagement rates.

Public Relations

  • Increase positive media coverage.
  • Improve positive sentiment in media reporting.

Campaign Performance

  • Increase campaign reach and impressions.
  • Achieve targeted campaign return on investment (ROI).

Stakeholder Satisfaction

  • Improve stakeholder satisfaction scores.
  • Increase internal stakeholder engagement.

Content Production

  • Produce high-quality corporate content consistently.
  • Ensure content complies with brand guidelines and corporate messaging.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • Honours degree in:
    • Marketing
    • Communications
    • Public Relations
    • Creative-related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in corporate communications or brand management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a managerial position.
  • Experience in:
    • Digital communications
    • Social media
    • Public relations
  • Strong understanding of consumer behaviour, market dynamics, and research principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Additional Information

Band: VII

The role requires frequent travel across Botswana, Mozambique, Zambia, Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana, and Nigeria.

The successful candidate will report to the Director for Corporate Communications and work closely with the executive management team.
