Job Overview

Impala Terminals is seeking a Security Supervisor to oversee security operations, service providers, access control, surveillance, incident management, and continuous improvement of security strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Security Operations

• Manage security service providers according to established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Oversee security at warehouse facilities.
• Monitor:
  • CCTV systems
  • Access control
  • Perimeter security
• Ensure effective access control management.

Administration & Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly security reports.
• Respond to security-related emails and phone calls.
• Maintain accurate security documentation and records.

Investigations & Audits

• Conduct and support incident investigations.
• Carry out route surveys.
• Conduct security vendor audits.
• Identify security weaknesses and recommend corrective measures.

Continuous Improvement

• Monitor existing security strategies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve security effectiveness.
• Implement appropriate security improvements.

Training & Development

• Train relevant personnel on:
  • Security awareness
  • Security prevention
  • Incident response
  • Security procedures

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Previous military or police training is an advantage.
• Valid driving licence.
• Computer literate with proficiency in:
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in:
  • English
  • Swahili
