The school serves approximately 1,800 students, supports graduates with access to higher education, and contributes teachers to government schools.
Job Purpose
The Assistant Team Lead – Community Relations will help coordinate and oversee activities that connect the school with students, parents, communities and other stakeholders.
The role combines community engagement, stakeholder coordination, fieldwork, records management, reporting, policy development and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Community Relations Planning & Coordination
- Plan and coordinate the annual Community Relations calendar.
- Prepare weekly Community Relations schedules.
- Coordinate scholarship application activities.
- Organize and support poverty assessments.
- Coordinate home visits and other community-related activities.
- Ensure activities are properly planned and delivered on schedule.
2. Stakeholder & Team Coordination
Work closely with:
- Community Relations team
- Academic teams
- Visitor team
- Students
- Parents
- Schools
- Community leaders
- Government stakeholders
- Other relevant partners
The role requires strong coordination and communication to ensure activities run smoothly.
3. Student & Parent Records
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student and parent information in iSAMs and related systems.
- Coordinate archiving of records.
- Maintain student files and parent records.
- Ensure Community Relations documentation is properly organized and accessible.
4. Monitoring, Review & Reporting
- Review poverty assessments.
- Review house checks and home visits.
- Review parent reports.
- Identify issues requiring follow-up or intervention.
- Prepare accurate monthly and annual reports for supervisors and managers.
5. Policy & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to development and review of Community Relations:
- Policies
- Procedures
- Guidelines
- Working tools
- Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Support consistent implementation of approved processes.
- Recommend practical and innovative ways to improve Community Relations activities.
- Help strengthen compliance and programme outcomes.
Required Qualifications
Education
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in one of the following fields is preferred:
- Community Development
- Social Sciences
- Communications
- Public Relations
- Development Studies
- Monitoring & Evaluation
- Related field
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in areas such as:
- Community engagement
- Stakeholder relations
- Project coordination
- Fieldwork
- Community development
- Similar roles
