CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO) – AML FINANCE LIMITED

AML Finance Limited is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the institution into its next phase of growth, institutionalization, and leadership transition.

AML Finance Limited is a Bank of Tanzania-regulated lender serving established and growth-oriented SMEs, with an ambition to exceed TZS 200 billion in assets by 2030.

About the Role

The CEO will combine commercial leadership, strong credit judgment, financial discipline, and regulatory credibility to translate the company’s growth ambitions into sustainable performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the 2025–2030 strategy and deliver sustainable profitability.
• Strengthen credit quality, portfolio monitoring, collections, and recovery.
• Diversify funding sources and improve systems, technology, and operational efficiency.
• Build a high-performing team and foster a culture of accountability and integrity.
• Maintain strong relationships and trust with the Board, regulators, investors, lenders, and customers.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have:

• 15+ years of experience in banking, non-bank finance, SME finance, microfinance, or development finance, including senior executive leadership experience.
• A proven track record of delivering business growth, transformation, and sustainable profitability.
• Deep expertise in SME credit and portfolio quality.
• Experience in funding mobilisation and investor engagement is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge and experience in regulatory compliance, governance, and risk management.
• A Bachelor’s Degree. A Master’s Degree or MBA is an added advantage.
• Experience working in Tanzania or a comparable African market is desirable.
